Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor of Management and Industrial Relations at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, Shidler College of Business. I received my PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Business.
My research focuses on science, innovation and entrepreneurship in developing countries. I am particularly interested in better understanding the role of both institutions and international networks in the production of knowledge in some of the poorest countries in the world.
When I’m not gazing at my computer or in the field gazing at innovators I can be found in the ocean working on my surfing career, which is lagging slightly behind my academic career.
